It can be highly stressful and emotional knowing that you have to go through personal items, furniture and furnishings that have been acquired and treasured throughout the years – and it can be more than a little overwhelming when it comes down to making the decision to choose what you keep and what goes.
Over the last 35 years, I can’t tell you how often I’ve arrived at a house clearance only to find a skip filled to the brim with destroyed collectables and salvageable items!

Clean up & Appraisal
Don’t worry if there’s a mess, or things are looking untidy! There’s no need to clean up or sort through belongings before I arrive! In fact, the best time for me to come and appraise your items is before you even make a start.
I’ll come direct to your property and undertake an appraisal, and if there is anything of value – and my expenditure warrants buying them – I’ll provide a free skip bin* to remove the real rubbish.
If you are looking to get the entire contents of the estate or your house removed, Archive Antiques can arrange for a team of professionals to do the job for you.
If you’re unable to be there, the team are happy to manage the entire process for you, and will follow any instructions you may have about specific items or areas.
The team will also take particular care with items such as personal documents, photographs, legal papers – and only remove these with your permission.
